My Viral Advert

My Product - Panda Cakes

My Viral Ad

The scene starts with a child at the kitchen table and the mum preparing the boy a snack. The mum then comes to the table with a plate in her hand and places the plate on the table. The boy’s face drop when he see what is on the plate. A plain, dry biscuit. The boy picks it up to see that his snack is actually really boring. Then a panda appears next to him with a box in his hand. The panda hands over a panda cake from the box. The scene then cuts to a picture of the cakes in its box and then a scene of the cake split in half so the target audience can see what the inside of the snack looks like. It then cuts back to the boy and the panda. The boy loves his delicious new snack and the panda leaves the box of panda cakes on the table and destroys the boring biscuit. The last scene seen is the logo and the ethos.
The target audience for my product is children under 12 and parents of young children. This is because a parent wants there child to have healthy snacks that they can enjoy and when children see the advert and then see it in shops they will ask for them.
Uses and gratification is information and escapism because I want the audience to keep up to date with the latest new products and feel relaxed by watching a funny advert for entertainment.

Diamond Advertisement

Diamonds were not always seen as such a precious item.  It wasn't until a jewelry company started using the phrase 'diamonds are forever' in 1920's where they placed ads in newspapers convincing men and women everywhere that diamonds are precious Jewel that should cherished and used to show love. Usually the ads were quite funny, but they were also quite convincing. that is why today its a diamond that is used for engagment rings and many anniversary present. because they were advertised that way not because a diamond is rare stone.

To create these ad they would use 'Uses and Gratification' to convince customers that a diamond is really special. In media we had to create our own diamond ads using Uses and Gratification. Our idea was to use the Movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. We created two ads one aimed for women and one aimed for men.

The advert aimed for women (seen below) we tried to make the women feel like the main character of the film 'Holly Golightly' played by Audrey Hepburn. So we captured the ad with 'Be like Audrey have Diamonds at Tiffanys' we changed Breakfast to diamonds to show that Audrey will be having breakfast while your wearing your new diamond jewlery. This is 'personal identity' this is a way to make audience feel like the charachter is part of their identitiy.

Diamond advert aimed for women.

The advert aimed for men (seen below) we tried to make men go to tiffanys.

Uses and Gratifications

This theory suggest that media audiences make active dcisions about what they consome in relation to their social and cultural setting and their needs.

This is defined by PIES:
- Personal Identity
- Information
- Escapism
- Social

Personal Identity - The need to define our identity and sense of self. Our sense of self is informed by making jusdgements about all sorts of people and things. This is also true of judgement we make about TV and film characters, and celebrities. Our choice of music, the shows we watch, the stars we like can be an expression of our identities. One aspect of this type of gratification is known as value reinforcement. This is where we choose television programmes or newspapers that have similar beliefs to those we hold.

Information or Surveillance - This is our need to know what is going on in the world. This relates to Maslow’s need for security. By keeping up to date with news about local and international events we feel we have the knowledge to avoid or deal with dangers.

Escapism (Diversion) - The need for escape, entertainment and relaxation. All types of television programmes can be ‘used’ to wind down and offer diversion, as well as satisfying some of the other needs at the same time.

Social (Personal Relationships) - Our need for to interact with other people. This is provided by forming virtual relationships with characters in soaps, films and all kinds of drama, and other programmes and media texts.

Viral Adverts

Viral Ads

Viral ads should make an emotional impact on the viewer whether it makes you laugh or makes you cry.some of the most viral ads get shown worldwide which is what makes them viral. some of the most popular ads are usually very funny which is why we remember them and spread them round the world.

The first advert was ‘Most Shocking Second a Day Video’ created by Save the Children. The narrative is a second a day of a young girl’s life how in less than a year her life gets turned upside down, it draws parallels of the experience of a young child in Syria. The powerful video is less than 2 minutes long but has a huge emotional impact on the viewer, ensuring it is remembered. The sound in the advert is diegetic, as the girl and the people around her can hear what is happening around her such as, her recorder playing, the news on the TV, and the bombs. The advert at first is not obvious for what it is selling because it is connotes the normal life of a young girl, she goes to school, she draws, plays an instrument etc. But if you do look closely during all this in the background you can see news stories saying war is coming, arguments in the background, people having their house raided. Then slowly all that trauma around her comes into the young girl's life as the year moves along. At the end of the video we still don’t know what the ad is about until the last 10 seconds of the video, which says 'just because it isn't happening here' in other words just because our children in the UK are having their life destroyed, 'doesn’t mean it isn't happening' in other words there is a child's life being destroyed in Syria. Then the 'Save the Children logo'.
The part that really sells the video is when the girl has been through a year of her life and she makes eye contact with the audience and starts crying. Through the whole video she doesn’t make eye contact with the audience, when we get that connection, we feel her pain too. When we suddenly realise how bad it is, we then want to help and give donations to help. It has been shared 103,207 times across all social media. at the end of video it even has a hashtag ‘#savesyriaschildren’ which is how we can spread the advert round even more with twitter and instagram etc., so the advert knows to keep up with modern day technology so young people as well will want to help. Its target audience is for all demogrates. The video has been a big success; since the video was uploaded people have donated so much money that Save the Children's teams have helped 600,000 children and family members with food, safe water, medicine, and shelter. I can use uses and gratification to this ad because we want to know what is happening around the world and how we can relate to it if it happened here, so if it does happen we know how to keep ourselves safe. Social, because we become empathy with the little girl especially when we have eye contact at the end. We feel the need to help her by donating

The second advert is ‘Never Say no to Panda’. The Ads were produced in Egypt by Advance Marketing for Arab Dairy, manufacturers of Panda Cheese. The commercials, features a giant panda terrorising people for not wanting to try the cheese, became a viral Internet hit. The ads were created by the Elephant Cairo agency and written by Ali and Maged Nassar. In this collection of Never Say No to a Panda, we see 4 of the most memorable giant Panda cheese ads. The narrative is a person offered Panda cheese, and declines. This causes a giant panda to suddenly appear in front of them while the Buddy Holly song "True Love Ways" plays in the background. This means it is non-diegetic as the music was placed on after the filming of the advert. The panda stares at the person for a few seconds before going into a silent but violent outburst, destroying objects around them, such as wrecking an office computer or pouring marinara sauce over an unprepared pizza, or tipping over a shopping trolley. The adverts have simple touch of comedy. We then share it round the world. The adverts target audience is people who like cheese, and anyone who goes weekly shopping for either themselves or the family, because they will be the ones buying the cheese when they go out. I can use uses and gratification in this ad because, the ad is seen as funny and escapism is where the audience try to relax with funny entertainment. Information, because we want to stay up to date with the latest things.

The ‘Most Shocking Second a Day Video’ was uploaded 5 March 2014 and already has over 41,187,820 views. The ‘Never say no to Panda’ was uploaded in 2010; it has reached to over 30,711,658 views. Overall the adverts were very successful worldwide. They reached their target audience, by making them laugh or cry, and got their audience to share the video allowing them to make more money.

My Horror Trailer

the final version my horror trailer 'Kidnapped' this is the edited version from the first trailer, there were in perfections in the trailer which i fixed to get my grade higher. to edit the trailer i used 'adobe premier' to edit the clips and added in on-screen writing which i created in photoshop.
the footage i used was filmed in the park/woods and in garage made to look like a basement. in the woods i tried to film just before it went dark. so its still gave the scary and dark effect but you could still see everything that was happening. in the basement i really used duct tape to tied my friend to the chair and makeup to create the bruises. a lot of the footage had to be taken out because either it was too dark or was too blurry. next time i will use a better camera because a lot of the footage was blurry. better costuming aswell because the costuming i used was dirty and kept breaking. one of my actors was also not well and couldnt really do many of the things so duriing the trailer it is more of a comedy than a horror.

Trailer plan: Costumes and Props

Costumes and Props
The charactrs will have different outfits depending on the scene the main character will have more outfits than the others not all charcters have been included below as we are still not sure if all actors are going to be included. these three are the main characers in the film. Jade is our main character, Aisha is the the kdnapper and killer, chloe is the other girl who goes missing in the end.

How to Plan a Trailer

Planning a Trailer
  • Trailers use Long shots at the start to establish character and setting.
  • Fades to black that suggest shifts in time.
  • Transitions/cuts with by booming SFX build tension.
  • Transition screens place significant text on screen, images and shots before/after should echo the text.
  • Short shots and quick cuts of some of the most exciting moments from the film, the ‘events’ that lead to resolution but not necessarily in chronological order.
  • Resolution should be left out, viewers left guessing.
  • Music should build to a crescendo.
  • Sudden moments of quiet and silence will have impact on mood and pace.
  • The voiceover and text on screen will most likely feature the film’s USP, its unique selling point.
  • The USP is anything that would make people want to see your film over any other films currently released. This could be at the beginning or end of your trailer.
Award screens may be put before the trailer or after the title.

Representation

Representation

What is Representation?
Representation is the way the media portrays the way we see things. the media re-present  the world to us n a different way. they may show us what something actually is but then change it to what it should be. Representation is everywhere and the media change it all the time.

Our Characters
The Bad Guy: in our movie the bad guy in the film will be represented as a mysterious, dark way. it will be a stereotypical bad guy in a horror movie she will always be wearing black or very dark colours in a cloak like form. You will rarely see her face or hear her speak. her action will be very stereotypical comes at the main character with a knife or a weapon. she will live in 8either a dark abandoned house or live in a normal house but you only ever see him in the basement where he keeps his victims.

The Main Character: the main character also known as the good guy will be first seen as your typical teenage girl will have long blonde , tall. Hangs out with her friends, gossips normal teen girl stuff. she will start wearing trendy clothing have a London accent, always abbreviates words. Then when she gets into trouble with the killer we start to see her change. instead of wearing trendy clothes she starts to wear a baggy jumper and jeans. becomes very brave and fights. get seen as a hero. lives in a small town just outside the city in a small house. has a normal life with her friend and family.

The Main Characters Friends: we still haven't decided if the friends are going to be a big main part in the movie however they are seen regularly with the main character there will be a varity of different girls at least 4 or 5 we will see them in school uniform. They all have the same personality as our main character. they will all hang out together all the time having fun, gossipping etc. they will have handbags and mobile phones on them.very stereotypical teenage girls. they all live in separate house but all live around 10 minuets away from each other. Easy walking distance.

The Next Victim: coming to the end the main character thinks she has escaped that he is now gone but she not. she has travelled far away and has captured a new girl. this victim will only be seen near the end. you will only see her eyes and hear here panting in complete silence then as she screams the screen will go black.

Then the title will slowly appear and disappear and the date will slowly appear and disappear.

Film ideas

Film ideas

I will be making my film with my friend Izzy.
Check out her blog here: http://issysmediastudies.blogspot.co.uk/

Titles: Gone
           Forgotten
           Revenge
           The basement
           Trapped
I like these because they are short and easy to remember, they all have a mystery to them. they tell a story themselves. Revenge someone wants to get back at someone. Gone someone goes missing. They all have a horror sound to them. they sound like a horror movie which will get the target audiences attention.

Genre: The Genre will be horror because we realised how its easier to scare someone than it is to make them laugh. we also knew that its easier to set horror scene, e.g. woods, alleys basements etc.

Idea 1
Girl is at school hanging with her friends having an ordinary day. when she gets home she sees her mum and dad, it all seems like an ordinary day. they enjoy the rest of the day as a happy family.
But on the second day she feels like shes being watched, starts seeing shadows follow her.
Girl is walking home from school, its dark and late so the streets are very quiet.  When she gets home, the house is silent, she cant see her mum or dad. She walks into the living room nobody is in there, then a man creeps behind her and wraps a bag over her head. Then the screen goes black.
When she wakes up again, she is tied up in a chair in a dark small basement.
she doesn't know where she is or why she is here but she is very scared
a man suddenly comes in in a dark cloak, she cant see who he is but he knows who she is. Its here Stalker from school. she attempts to escape from the rope but its too tight. when she does escape she whacks him over the head with the chair and runs out of the basement. she finally sees who has trapped her.
she escapes and runs into the woods across the road. it night time now so she can barely see where she is going. she now has to run away and find her parents before its too late.
on her adventure to find her parents she goes through a lot of weird scary things. the stalker catches up with her and attempts to slice her throat, he catches her face but barely, she knocks him out unconscious and steals his phone. she escapes but is now injured and is running low on food and money, she doesn't know where to go or what to do. She gets a text through the stalkers phone, its a picture of her parents tied up they look ill and starved. the text says meet me in the field behind your grandfathers house if you want to see your parents live. her grandparents live in a small town just outside of London. when she gets to the house its empty and abandoned she is now very scared. in the distance on the field she see a black figure, she assumes its her stalker, she has a small pocket knife in her back pocket but she knows hes probably got something worse. when she gets to him he doesn't say anything he just walks away she follows he takes her too a shed she see her parents they are next to being dead. he is about to turn around when she stabs him in the stomach he bleeds falls to the ground and dies. she goes to attempt to save her parents but they collapse as well they die she is now alone in a shed with three dead bodies the movie ends.

This will get people attention because it has all the main events in a movie. and the main character has a clear objective that everyone will be wanting to see. it Also ends on a cliff hanger which gets peoples attention as well.

Idea 2
the movie starts with three teenage girls in the park, they are having fun messing about doing normal teen stuff, the shot then goes into a dark view someone is watching the girls from a bush. the girls start to walk home when they are stopped by a stranger he takes one of them and shoves her in a van.the others run to call police but then they are stopped too. they are drugged and the wake up without remembering a thing.
the other girl who was taken finds herself in a room tied up in a basement. she looks around and sees there are pictures of her and her friends on the walls. the man who took her comes in he tells her she goings to be here a while. he wants to keep her alive but trapped. he feeds her daily and gives her water, meanwhile the rest of the girls are still confused to what happened. slowly each one of them gets taken by the same men but the world doesn't know. until one girl gets out and calls the police they don't believe her until they see how most girls in that area have started to go missing. when they find the girls the kidnappers are taken away to jail. the girls still have no memory of what happened to them and their friends.

This is very mystery type film. its on a lot of cliff hangers. has good potential though.

Idea 3
young boy is out with friends, he wants to gout for longer but wants his parents permission. his house has cameras everywhere so he can check up on his phone to see if his parents are awake or not. when he checks he discovers that his parents aren't awake but dead on the dining room floor. he rushes to call the police they cant find any evidence of a killer or a killer weapon. weeks later and still no news on the murder. he decides to take matters into his owns hands. its not long until hes on a journey trying to find the killer. a lot of strange things happen, such as the police almost giving p on the case, is friends not caring about him and he feels like hes being followed. he finds the killer its his dads best friend, who is also his best friends dad and the killer is a undercover cop. when he finds out why he killed his parents its because he apparently killed his wife and wanted revenge the boy then tries to escaping but cant he traps him just as hes about to slice his throat when suddenly the boys best friend charges through and wakes his dad round the head with a baseball bat. it was him who was following him. the boys go back to normal life and lives with his best friend and his mum. they are happy but the killer is still out there and is always watching.

this is another good idea because from the start it goes into a disasters and mystery. the audience is immediately intrigued.

DVD Cover Analysis

DVD analysis

When I thought about my DVD cover I thought what do most RomCom movies look like? On most covers you see the couple, the actors name, the title etc., and then I thought about what most RomComs are about, so two people who may start off not knowing each and falling in love or two people who hate each other and end falling in love etc. it’s all the same. So in my DVD cover I wanted the usual DVD but with some differences. Like how you don’t see many white background RomCom DVD covers and also wanted the cover to connect with the title, I have chosen A YEAR WITH YOU so the cover had lots of calendar pages from all year round. It’s a very simple DVD cover but has a real connection with you when you first see it. It stands out.

The genre of DVD is RomCom. The actors I have chosen are Emma Stone and Chris Evans is because Emma Stone is one of my favourite actresses she has done many movies such as Easy A, the amazing Spiderman and Gangster Squad. All of which I Love. She is also has a very good personality and I thought she would fit the part perfectly. Chris Evans is also a very good Actor who has been in many movies such as Avengers, What’s Your Number and Fantastic Four. On the cover they I thought they went really well together and look like the perfect couple.

The colours I choose are red and white but I put little hints of black to make it stand out more. I also had the falling calendar pages at the back to make you look down the page to the bottom so you get a full view of the cover. I put the characters in this clothing because I wanted to show their differences. He is wearing casual clothing jeans and t-shirt hands in pocket not paying much attention to her and I put her in a pink dress to show she is putting in effort always trying to look good. He’s in black and I put him at the back so her pink dress stands out more against him.

I have chosen the title a year with you because I wanted a title that is short and catchy and I wanted a title that has a sort of mystery to it. When you hear a year with you are they happy about spending a year together. Do they have to spend a year together? Is it their choice they have to be together? Also in most RomCom movies you see them together for a long period of time watching their relationship progress. I then thought it would be clever to have them standing in the calendar pages to make it look like they are counting the days off they have been together.

The review from The Sun, is good for the movie because its say a movie you will love all year round this connects to the title which I thought would be funny and amazing is in capital and in red to stand out and make you think it’s an amazing movie making you want to watch it.
I am very happy with my DVD cover.

Genre

Genre is a french word that means type or kind. Genre tells us what type a movie maybe. some of the most popular are Horror, Romantic Comedies, Action, Western, Thriller, Sport and Comedy.

My top 3 favourite Genres are Romantic Comedies
                                      Crime
                                      Comedies

Romantic Comedies
Romantic comedies, or Rom-Coms Usually include two characters of a Man and woman who will fall in love and most times their best friends. Most romantic comedies are set in the city or place really easy to identify. Romantic comedies are ment to show that love takes over all and the love between the couple brings them together. The movie will based around love but will have moments of funny scenes or parts that make you laugh insted of make you fall in love with the characters. Romantic comedies are very poular with women and Teen girls.
Popular romatic comedies include: The Holiday
                                           27 Dresses
                                           What happens in vegas
                                           Love actually
                                           Notting Hill

Crime
Crime films are films that focus on the lives of criminals. The stylistic approach to a crime film varies from realistic portrayals of real-life criminal figures, to the far-fetched evil doings of imaginary arch-villains. Criminal acts are almost always glorified in these movies. Most crime movies are set on ither a novel or a true story. Crime movies are usually mad for adults considering that most crime movies are certificated 15 or over because they have refferences to serious crimes like drugs. they are usually made with a mystery connected with it like Now you see me.
Popular crime movies include: The Wolf of Wall Street
                                       Now You See Me
                                       American Hustle
                                       We're The Millers
                                       The Dark Night Rises

Comedy
Comedy is a genre of film in which the main emphasis is on humour. These films are designed to entertain the audience through amusement, and often work by exaggerating characteristics of real life for humorous effect. most comedies have a happy ending to the story. they usually include a person or a group of people that have a goal and go through an adveture acheving that goal with humourus scenes on the way. Famous comedians like Adam Sandler, Will Ferrel and Jim Carry have usually done the same thing to make their audience laugh, such as funny fight scenes or jokes with strong language usually get their audience attention.
Popular Comedy films include: Ted
                                       Dumb and Dumber
                                       Anchorman
                                       Forgetting Sarah Marshell
                                       Grown Ups

Trailer Analysis 3 --- Divergent

Trailer analysis 3 - Divergent

Divergent is an action, adventure and sci-fi movie. the very beginning of the trailer shows the setting of where the movie begins, we don't know the actual location but we can tell its in the countryside from all the fields and very little population.  the first two characters we see are two women, one probably being a mother the other her daughter. the daughter is being prepared for a special occasion as she is getting her hair tied up and pinned, they also have a discussion abut the day. the setting then changes to the city and we can now tell that this movie is set in the future, and that the mother and daughter are actually probably poor compared to how everyone else is dressed. when getting to around a minute of the trailer we know the young women is the main character and we following her story and journey. we still don't really know what is happening apart from all of the population is separated into different groups. they have to take a test to show what group they go to. we see our main go into the test thinking she is just like everyone else. but what makes her special is how the test doesn't work on her and this happened to very few people. they call it 'Divergent' hence the movie title. we know understand the meaning of the movie title and understand on why she is our main character. there is very little on screen text in the trailer but we do find out ,from on screen text, that this movie is 'based on the worldwide bestseller' so it was a novel before a film. we then meet the next main character, a male who is in charge of training these unique people. we don't find out his name. but we do see that they fall in love in through the trailer. hes not actually too convinced that she should be here and uses her almost like a 'guinea pig' testing her to see how week/strong she actually is. After him very closely chopping her ear off we see she starts to really fight. as much as she doesn't want to she does start to get very close and in love with him after seeing what he really wants to be because of his tattoos 'brave, and selfless, and intelligent, and honest, and kind' instead of just one thing in life we see that she really cares for him. we then see more on screen text, the date of when the film comes out 'march 21' now coming to the end of the trailer we see her as a new person she has been through her training and now a lot more confident, not as quiet and innocent as she was at the start and has changed a look. instead of her weak ways of fighting before we know see her punching and fighting some really tough guys, and she doing a lot more practical things like flying off a building and jumping onto a train. we also see her kissing the main male character so we know they become in love through the movie, but we also see her her struggles through the trailer including her crying and struggling to escape. the trailer ends with Divergent Title and logos behind the text and then the next frame is of the date again of when he movie comes out, where you can book tickets, social media links and the official website. there is instrumental music in the background which speeds up as the trailer goes and as she evolves into this new person. as the music speeds up, the quicker the video changes. to different footage. at the start we see maybe 10 seconds of a scene at a time, by the end of the trailer we see maybe around 2 - 3 seconds of a scene. the music is also perfevtly timed to the footage. an example would be coming to the end of the footage she punches a man twice and when she makes the punch the music makes a dramatic sound as she punches this puts on more of an effective on the viewer. there is no main narrative over the video but you do hear the characters talking from the movie over diffrents parts of footage. When the character is talking it will not be the footage from when they talk but it will be footage that is about what they are talking about. for example when one of the main charcters says 'divergent's threaten the system' we dont just see her talking but the divergents preparing for war. the target audience for the film is for teens, 13 and over, adults would enjoy it aswell though. its aimed for the younger generation because, the main characters are still young adults aswell that are just finding love and finding their way and so teens can relate to that.

Trailer analysis 2 --- The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Trailer Analysis - The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is adventure comedy and drama. It starts with the main character at home, he is alone so we know he is single and its a very small apartment so we know he has no kids. he is on a dating site trying to get the girl of his dreams which soon fails because he hasn't completed his profile which is the start to seeing what the film is about. He hasn't done anything interesting with his life. He has zoned out moments where he dreams the life he wants. his zoned out moments are filled with adventure and love.
Its narrated through his adventure, you see his story. to me its a slight spoiler because it gives away the whole story plot within 2 minutes you see his normal life, his dream life, what he does, where he goes, why he does it, who he does it for.
the movie is not really set in one location, his home town is somewhere in America i think its new york but i may be mistaken. They don't show a set location because the movie is based all over the world we see scenes in several different locations.
The man character is Walter Mitty (Ben Stiller), hes a awkward charachter in this movie. very shy and pro cautious. he is much like his character in "Along came Polly", "heartbreak kid" and "crazy stupid love".
the pacing at the start of the trailer is slow, nut the slow pacing helps you really understand his life the start of the trailer is meant to show his boring life, and the slow pacing emphasises the boring life. then the more you see him do, the more you see the adventure the quicker the pacing is. the more action you see makes you feel the way he is feeling.
Around thirty seconds into the film we see who the producers are, 20th century fox and Samuel Goldwyn films. Then around half way it say "THIS CHRISTMAS" very big writing telling us when its coming out, so then even when we think about Christmas we think about this movie. there is also messages sent through to use, the message is broken down into a word per slide in big bold writing so we are almost saying what we read. "TO SEE THE WORLD" "TO DRAW CLOSER" "TO FIND EACH OTHER" and there are short scenes in between each message. then the main tag line "THAT IS LIFE" has very graphical scenes in between each words, scenes that are very big in life, so the message comes across very strongly. Then it says the title and once again reminds us when the movie is coming out. right at the end when it reminds us when the movie is coming out, underneath it says a website to go to, to find out more information and a hash tag that is used regularly in the social media so producers can check up on what people think of the movie when ever they want.
There are many special effects in the trailer, we mainly see them later on the trailer when he is in an adventure or when he is in his zoned out place. Special effects include: side of building collapsing, photographs moving, shark scenes, jumping from helicopter to boat, standing on the top of a biplane while its flying, flying through windows out of buildings, crashes through the road, birds in the sky move to create a picture. These can be very powerful effects.
At the start of the trailer like i said before you meant to understand he has a boring miserable life not only does the pacing help this but the music as well. his boring life has slow quiet music, has a big impact on the scene, then as soon as we see his first zone out imagination, where half the building collapses and he is talking to his dream girl the music goes really up beat, and fast, very joyful music. the more adventure we see the more joyful music, the more upbeat you get like his life. the n right at the end it goes back to that quiet peaceful music. The music has a big impact on the trailer.

Trailer Analysis --- The Wolf of Wall Street

Trailer analysis 1 - The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street is a comedy, crime and biography. At the stat of the trailer you immediately know the location because it says  Wolf of wall strret in the title of the film and Wall Street  on a sign post. Then the main Character Jordon Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) tells us how the story started. This gives us a clear idea who he is. This trailer doesn't give you much information on what the film is actually about. All you really know is that he is in charge of a stock market in New York and got 49 Million dollars by the time he turned 26, but you don't really see what the movie is. You don't know if their is a problem with stock market or is he illegally taken all this money, does he not want the money is all a bit hazy. Another problem is you don't know who any of the characters are. You see them several times and they play big parts in the the trailer but you don't know what they have to do with movie. The only character you know is Jordon Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) the main character. There is no voice over the trailer mainly just has scenes from the film. key parts which gives slight hints to what the movie could be about. In between the scenesis writing which say who the director is and who the most famous cast is. Such as from "academy award winning director Martin Scorsese" who is obviously very good and famous director in the business. I aslo belive that soemscenes where unneccary like when the main character is having lunch with another man and they start humming a tune i didnt quite see the point of that part. There were no big graphics that i noticed neither was there any special effects shown. There may be some in the film its hard to tell. Music choosen was very good it went well with the trailer but the problem was that the music has very fast beats to it. This didn't help with the pacing of the trailer there are lots of fast scenes that you barely get a shot of, and the start and the end of the trailer was mainly writing saying who the production company was and when it was coming to cinema because it went so fast you couldn't read it. n the trailer you obviously notice how he happy at the start considering he got 49 million dollars but later on in the trailer you really see the stress get to him and the stress get to everyone else, the music on that really gets your heart pumping you really start to feel the preassure. Another god thing about the trailer is the colours they have chosen the bright yellow background with bold black writing which really pops out to you. It kind of makes you jump a bit when you first watch it. Overall the trailer is very mysterious, but intriguing its mystery makes you want to watch more i believe that's what the producer and director were going for but for some it may be not enough and don't find the trailer to be very good. you can always find more information on the film at IMDB.
